ECDL trainings

The ECDL training for 20 selected women who are over 40 years of age began on 25th February 2008. Upon a successful completion of the training the participants will obtain the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) certificate which is widely recognised in Europe and which represents a guarantee of good computer skills to the employers. Since the lack of computer skills is the main obstacle to finding of an employment for these women, the project provided free education for them and the possibility to achieve the ECDL certificate.
The training that lasts 120 hours should be completed on 30th of April 2008. The learners have been divided into two groups and trainings are led twice a week by certified ECDL trainers from the company Mellinia from Pula.
Further to a partnership agreement, the Croatian Employment Institute – Branch office in Pula secured daily attendance allowances for the time of duration of the training and covered the travelling costs.
